This important group education class will be led by a HealthCore Clinic provider with a focus on behavioral health, exercise guidance, and diabetic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The class will take place at HealthCore Clinic on<strong> Tuesday, May 3<\/strong>, from <strong>5:15 &#8211; 7 PM<\/strong>. About 90-95% of people with diabetes have type 2. It develops over many years and is usually diagnosed in adults (but more and more in children, teens, and young adults). You may not notice any symptoms, so it\u2019s important to get your blood sugar tested if you\u2019re at risk. Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed with healthy lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, eating healthy food, and being active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are at risk for diabetes, HealthCore Clinic can help and we strongly recommend you attend our diabetes education classes. We can get you tested, work with you on lifestyle changes, and create a plan to potentially prevent you from being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Gestational<\/em> Diabetes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gestational diabetes develops in pregnant women who have never had diabetes. If you have gestational diabetes, your baby could be at higher risk for health problems. Gestational diabetes usually goes away after your baby is born but increases your risk for type 2 diabetes later in life. Your baby is more likely to have obesity as a child or teen, and more likely to develop type 2 diabetes later in life too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are pregnant \u2014 or plan to become pregnant \u2014 we highly recommend you attend our diabetes education classes at HealthCore Clinic.
