Some of the activities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Family-Friendly Games<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Bicycle Obstacle Course<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Prizes &amp; Giveaways<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Local Vendors<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Apparel Giveaways<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Healthy Snack Bar<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Free<\/em> Produce Giveaway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve teamed up with the <a href=\"https:\/\/kansasfoodbank.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kansas Food Bank<\/a> for another free produce giveaway! The produce is FREE and anyone in need of food is invited. We will be handing out free fresh produce <strong><em>while supplies last<\/em><\/strong>, please bring your own bag or box to carry your produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The free produce giveaway starts at 9 AM<\/strong> and goes until all the produce is gone, which typically happens in the first 1-2 hours. The produce giveaway is outside, so please be sure to dress appropriately for the heat, bring water, and if possible something to provide shade. Here are the services you can get during the Health Fair on Saturday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sports Physicals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>8:20 AM &#8211; 11:20 AM<br>$15 Per Physical<br>Please call <a href=\"tel:316-691-0249\">316-691-0249<\/a> to reserve a time in advance<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also called pre-participation physical examinations (PPE), <a href=\"https:\/\/healthcoreclinic.org\/es\/children\/#checkups\">sports physicals<\/a> are usually a part of registering youths for participation in a sport. Organizers &amp; teams generally require an evaluation for children to participate in sports at school or recreation centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A PPE helps to assure that your young athlete is healthy and physically ready for their chosen activity such as baseball, football, martial arts, soccer, or track. Before registering, check with the organizers about their eligibility requirements and bring any paperwork your child&#8217;s organization may have. Please bring your child\u2019s immunization records and a list of any medications your child takes, including prescription medications and over-the-counter medicines. Immunizations are part of <a href=\"https:\/\/healthcoreclinic.org\/es\/well-child\/\">well-child exams<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/healthcoreclinic.org\/es\/well-child\/#kan-be-healthy\">KAN Be Healthy exams<\/a>. Schedules for these exams are very consistent for every child. Your child should have wellness checkups at ages 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, 2 1\/2 years, 3 years, and annual visits after that. Vaccines aren\u2019t only safe, but they also play an important role in keeping all children healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/healthcoreclinic.org\/es\/children\/#immunizations\">Immunizations: Learn More<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Free<\/em> COVID-19 Vaccines &amp; Boosters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>10 AM &#8211; Noon<br>FREE<br>No appointment needed<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HealthCore Clinic is an official COVID-19 vaccine site that offers vaccines for all eligible ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pfizer &amp; Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are now available for Kansas children ages 6 months to 6 years. These vaccines have undergone clinical trials specifically for children ages 6 months to 6 years old to determine that the vaccine is safe, effective, and appropriately dosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe vaccine remains the best way to protect from serious illness. This important development will help keep children safe and stop the spread of COVID-19,\u201d<\/em> Janet Stanek, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. <em>\u201cWe encourage all parents or guardians of eligible Kansans to discuss this with their healthcare provider or the medical professional at the location where you receive care about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shot.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone 6 months or older can get the vaccine or a booster \u2014 at the Health Fair or by scheduling a time that works best for you. During the Health Fair, no appointment is needed.
